Executive Director
Elizabeth Israel co-founded GreenMicrofinance in 2002. As Executive Director of GreenMicrofinance, the non-profit arm of GreenMicrofinance, she oversees a team of highly dedicated individuals who are passionately committed to pursuing their mission of poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability. For thirty years, Elizabeth has worked in community-based economic development. Her vision is for GreenMicrofinance to lead the field of microfinance, ensuring that the principles of sustainable development are integrated into all lending policies and programs. Elizabeth has a MS in International Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University, and a MS in Management from Antioch University New England.
