The Co-operative Bank Ethical Policy
This film marks the 2009 launch of The Co-operative Banks updated Ethical Policy. It charts the story of the Ethical Policys 17-year history, from its controversial beginnings in the early nineties, through the compelling 1996 landmine campaign, to the 2009 announcement that whilst weve turned down £1 billion worth of finance in conflict with our ethical stance, weve successfully grown our commercial lending to £4.4 billion over the same period. There are also highlights of a dispute with Vogue on the animal testing of cosmetics, and an entertaining tussle with Jeremy Paxman over ferreting!
